BRIT NURSERY POLICE: TERRORISM TAUGHT 4-YEAR-OLDS

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

A police email warns: “Evidence suggests that radicalization can take place from the age of 4.”

Brit police inform nurseries to spy out terrorism indoctrination on 4 and 5-year-olds.

In other words, terrorism is taught little ones, adding to the already frightened non-Muslim public.

“Nursery-age children should be monitored for signs of brainwashing by Islamist extremists, according to a leaked police memo obtained by The Times” per TIMESONLINE  at http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/crime/article6952503.ece

The policeman reported that he had evidence that nursery age children “may draw pictures of bombs and say things like ‘all Christians are bad.’”

Brits are becoming increasing aware that the killing cult is not a religion among religions. Consequently, the admiration for multiculturalism has tarnished. How can multiculturalism invite a killing regime that is committed to wipe out all non-Muslims? No world religion makes that claim.

Of other concerns, Muslim Brits have been engaging in rape jihad. Women not garbed from head to foot are considered asking for rape and so they get it from extremist Muslims.

EGYPT: MUSLIM MEN VS. WOMEN’S RIGHT TO DIVORCE

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Egyptian males are angry that Muslim women have the legal right to divorce them. The Islamic males have been used to a society giving them the upper hand over females.

No more

Every 12 minutes a wife divorces her husband, the total now reaching 12,000. This is embarrassing to Islamic males.

“’Women use this law to satisfy their personal whims and for the most trivial of reasons. Several cases are disgraceful,’” men complain to media.

Angered males have formed the Egyptian Organization for Divorced Men.

Leader Abdul RahmanAbdul Rahman Hamed states: “’The law of unconditional divorce has become a sword hanging over men’s heads’” per “Egypt men slam giving women right to divorce” at http://www.alarabiya.net/articles/2009/12/09/93654.html

PAKISTAN: CHRISTIANS MUM THIS CHRISTMAS

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Worship will continue in Christian churches. Clerics will officiate in services commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Throngs will appear in the sanctuaries due to the Christian faith remaining strong.

However, what goes on outside the church buildings will be practically nil due to laws stipulating Islam as the only acceptable religion.

“Adopted in 1986 under the rule of then Pakistan dictator Zia-ul-Haq, these laws impose life in prison or the death penalty on anyone who desecrates the Qur‘an or defiles the name of Muhammad” per AsiaNews.it’s “Fear of new attacks means ‘silent’ Christmas for Christians” at http://www.asianews.it/index.php?l=en&art=17086&size=A

Wreaths will not hang on residential doors.

Carol singing in neighborhoods will be zip.

Christmas plays in outdoors are not being scheduled.

Public display of Christmas is practically null and
void because of widespread fear.

Pakistani Christians have suffered churches burnt and lives lost in burst of violence against them because they do not adhere to the Koran or recognize Allah as deity.

“Mgr Lawrence John Saldanha, archbishop of Lahore and president of the Bishops’ Conference of Pakistan, told AsiaNews that 2009 is going to end in a ‘silent Christmas’ because the country’s situation is very bad.”

ABED: “He would give them to the squad, and they would kill them. Some would rape them.”

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

This Muslim was interrogated because of being a captured Islamic terrorist. His name: Ramzi Hashem Abed, per Jihad Watch at http://www.jihadwatch.org/2005/08/rape-jihad.html

Interrogator: “There were operations of kidnapping and rape, carried out by the squad you belong to?”

Abed: “Yes.”

Interrogator: “Tell me how many rape and kidnapping operations were carried out. My information says that the kidnapped women were university students or daughters of famous people. You raped them and got money for it, and if they were not slaughtered afterwards.... Did this really happen?”

Abed: “Yes, it did.”

Interrogator: “Who would carry out these operations?”

Abed: “Abu Sajjad.”

Interrogator: “Your superior?”

Abed: “Yes.”

Why were these women raped and killed? Because they supposedly worked with Americans in one fashion or another. They then deserved to be wiped out. They were the enemy to Islam World Rule.

Allah would be pleased to have them raped and dead. Verse after verse in the Koran teaches that non-Muslims are to be done away with.

(Read the KORAN at http://jgrantswankjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/koran.html )

Women would be taken to the Islamic headquarters, questioned mercilessly. Then they were wasted.

Abed: “He (the superior) would give them (the women) to the squad, and they would kill them. Some would rape them.”

Abed stood at the headquarters’ entrance. He kept watch.

He was asked if he ever raped and murdered any woman. He answered that he did once. She was a Kurd.

MUSLIMS’ BRIT RAPE JIHAD

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

The rapists per Brit politically correct media are not called “Muslim” of “Islamic” but “Asian.”

No matter, the wise-up public knows that it means Muslims raping Brit females. One was a 14-year old walking her dog. She was grabbed, raped, and then left.

Western Europe is coming upon the same evil sweep.

“Equally alarming is the fact that the same type of rapes of non-Muslim girls and women appears to be escalating across Western Europe in direct proportion to Muslim immigration and population increase” per TheOPINIONATOR.

Europe is rethinking its love of multiculturalism. How can one admire multiculturalism when it welcomes a killing cult? It seems to be taking quite awhile for grassroots to realize that Islam is not a religion among world religions. It is a killing cult.

(Read the KORAN at http://jgrantswankjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/koran.html )

When one speaks so realistically as to define Islam as a killing cult, he is labeled “racist” or overcome with “Islamophobia.” It’s difficult for those speaking factually to be recognized as truth-tellers.

Muslim males disdain non-Muslim females. These non-Muslim women are considered lower than Muslim females, the latter regarded but commodities to be manipulated by Muslim males. “Honor killing” is the most noted cruel example of Allah-devotee male mistreatment of their females.

But because non-Muslim females are not garbed from head to foot, they are asking for rape, per Muslim acceptance. Their fashionable attire is an invitation to be violated. So if they are raped, they have asked for it.

“In a startling disclosure from an exchange at an East London mosque, Imam Abdul Makin and a leading Muslim lawyer have supported the killing and raping of non-Muslims, declaring all non-Muslims as guilty and subject to lethal abuse.”

OSAMA BIN LADEN’S RELATIVES FLY PLANES ACROSS USA SKIES

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Federal Aviation Administration officialdom says it’s okay. The pilots have been vetted.

Like unto Barack Hussein Obama? Not good.

Bottom line: “’The many different spellings of bin Laden in the data make it impossible to determine exactly who has a license,’ said Mark Schiffer of Safe Banking systems, a computer security firm that analyzed the FAA records.

“’The information is so thoroughly compromised that any vetting system built on it is unreliable,’ said Schiffer per ABC News.

“’. . .thoroughly compromised. . .that. . .system. .. unreliable.’”

There are a dozen of bin Laden’s family who fly the skies, maybe more than that. So we are not sure as to exactly the number. Maybe a dozen. Could be additionals. Not good.

They are sanctioned as licensed pilots via the FAA. That opens the unlimited air spheres anywhere in these United States.

Three of these pilots just got their licenses in June 2009.

All sorts of “reasons” have been offered by the government as to why all this is stable for safety. We know how much we can depend on present
government.

Question: Why does America take any chances whatsoever with bin Laden’s relatives—close and distant? Does democracy have no logical limits or do we just open wide for Islam World Rule to reign?

MUSLIM BOY BEATEN FOR PLAYING FOOTBALL WITH NON-MUSLIMS

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Islamic moral police are spying out every opportunity to persecute and execute those who trespass the Koran. (Read the Koran: http://jgrantswankjr.blogspot.com/2009/12/koran.html )

An Islamic teen was beaten by the moral police because he was caught playing football with non-Muslim youth.

In Holland, France and Spain more severe penalties are leveled against females who are accused of having committed adultery. The sentence is death by stoning, per sharia law.

The woman is pitted in dirt up to her neck, then her head is bashed in with stones. The size of the stones is stipulated by the Koran’s Allah. They cannot be too large so as to bring quick death.

Reports from Madrid state that a Muslim woman is to be stoned to death. “Moral brigades” accuse her of having had an adulterous affair per Paolla Del Vecchio of ANSAmed.

It is suspected that sharia law is demanded in Muslim clusters around the world. The penalties are leveled, onlookers keep the secret, and mayhem spreads. As this furthers, civilization backs off for the killing cult to consume.

Some conclude this does not happen in such democracies as the United States and Canada; however, reports are that that is unreal. It does occur in open societies where Muslims move in.

In Spain, for instance, “the theatre of the incursions of these Islamic ‘moral patrols’ are the rural towns where the mosques are controlled by Salafists, a fundamentalist sect of Islam, with a substantial presence in the province of Tarragona.

“These groups are heavily inspired by the Koran and the rigid regulations applied in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.”

CHRISTIANS, HANUKKAH (DEC 11-19) IS FOR YOU, TOO

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

The Feast of Lights!

It is a Christian celebration. Yes. It is a Jewish feast. Yes.

Yet Christians have ignored their opportunity to celebrate along with the Jews this annual observance. Why? Because Christians think that Hanukkah is solely Jewish. It is not.

It is for both Jews and Christians because its origins occurred in the inter-testamental period. That is, the historical event around which Hanukkah is based is between the last book of the Old and the first book of the New Testaments — that 400 year time frame left languishing to the holy record.

Hanukkah is the victory of God over pagan enemies. It is a forthright spiritual impact in history that holds a mighty message for both Jews and Christians. Yes, it belongs to the Jews to celebrate. But it also belongs to the Christians.

In our Christian home we have the menorah. It will be lit this evening for the start of yet another Feast of Lights eight-day commemoration. Our church family will join us.

The menorah — the eight candle lampstand represents the eight day miracle. The ninth candle is the "leader (or shammash-servant) candle," that is, the candle used to light the others, one candle each night for eight nights.

The feast itself remembers the dedication of the Temple in 165 BC by Judah Maccabee after he had conquered the armies of the Syrian oppressor, Antiochus Epiphanes, who had polluted the Temple by sacrificing a pig on the altar.

The reason for the eight lights is this: after the Temple was cleansed, only a day’s supply of holy oil could be located. The light in the Temple burned miraculously, however, for eight days total until new oil could be found. Therefore, during the eight days of Hanukkah, one additional candle is lit each day. Prayers of
thanksgiving are offered.

Hanukkah is sited in the Gospel of John 10:22 as the "feast of the dedication."

Jesus was in Jerusalem during this feast and made one of His clearest messianic claims (John 10:22-39). It was this same Jesus who referred to himself as "the light of the world" (John 8:12).

This year, Christian, light your menorah. Recall the historic event. Offer your prayers. Celebrate the Feast of Lights. It belongs to you as well as your Jewish neighbors. What a privilege to thank God during Hanukkah for his overriding the pagan foes’ attempts at desecrating the Holy of Holies.

Thank you, God, also for the faith of the Maccabees who gave their all to restore to the faith that which could have been lost to the enemy.

PARISIANS PROTEST MUSLIMS’ PRAYER-CLOGGING STREETS

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Muslims are all over the boulevards, avenues and streets throughout Paris. They clog the passages so that non-Muslims and vehicles cannot get through.

This is becoming increasingly abhorrent to Parisians who conclude they are losing their space. They are appalled at their individual rights stomped upon by Allah devotees who simply don’t care about anyone but themselves.

This does not set well with the French. However, Mr. Bertrand Delanöe, Mayor of Paris, doesn’t care. So citizens are appealing to the President.

The Swiss have told Muslims that minarets have reached the “enough” stage. Swiss are going to take back their turf and not permit Islamics to smother their nation with a killing cult.

French are warning Canadians that if they don’t get matters in hand, the Muslim clog will take over that nation as well.

So one country is lecturing to another about the threat. This is good. This is healthy. More dialogue about this deluge must cover the planet in order to halt Islam World Rule.

Check it out: “France follows Swiss lead. No more praying in streets.” At http://vladtepesblog.com/?p=16574

DUTCH SCHOOL NIXES CHRISTMAS TREE. CELEBRATES 'HEAT & LIGHT'

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Each year the Christmas tree gets hatcheted by those who conclude it represents too much “Christian.”

What would the world do in December if the Calvary tree was the chief Christmas symbol throughout the Christian world? After all, Christ was born to die, giving His holy life in our place. Christmas points to Good Friday / Easter.

The Calvary tree upon which the Savior sacrificed Himself as our Substitute, shedding His own blood by which the repentant can find salvation, would be utterly anathema to the pagan.

In Golgotha tree’s place, the Christmas tree takes the raps. Note Haagsche Hogeschool college. Each year the institution has celebrated Yuletide with a Christmas tree. But now the Christian-haters have flung the tree into oblivion. School officialdom has confessed that they don’t want the tree up because it represents too closely Christianity.

What that really means is that since it represents too closely Christianity it represents too closely Christ. When I read these reports, I ask myself: What horrific act did Christ commit that makes Him so hated?

Yet Mohammed raped, murdered and threatened on a whim. His name is revered by millions. His Koran is considered ‘holy writ.’ His Allah is regarded deity.

However, the religion-dumb ones permit this killing cult, Islam, equal time with world religions. Islamic banners can wave from campus chapel ceilings. And so forth.

At the Dutch college, traditionally the meters-high tree was seen by all walking through the school's atrium. However, not this year. In the tree’s place are streamers and lights dangling.

And what does that mean? Officialdom says it means “light and heat.”

I don’t even try to think that one through. But at first nudge, I would assume it represents heathen priority.

Twenty thousand students are at the school. Numerous students “expressed fury on the Internet about the decision not to put up a tree this year.”

So there you have it.

“’Because a handful of religious good-for-nothings take offence about a tree with some lights and colored balls, the rest of the school community has to suffer,’ complained one pupil” per www.nisnews.nl.

THE LITTLE BLACK BABY IN A BLUE BLANKET

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

We were so excited. The baby, long awaited, was to be ours in a couple of days.

We had worked in the summer of 1962 in the Student Interracial Ministry organized by Union Theological Seminary in New York. I was a student at Harvard Divinity School when I read their poster tacked to the bulletin board.

It invited seminary students to volunteer for civil rights witness in the South. My wife and I, white, were going to live in High Point, North Carolina, pastoring alongside a black minister at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. It would be for the summer only, and then I would return to my second year in seminary training.

While in High Point, we made so many friends. The time flew by as we thoroughly enjoyed the bonding that ended up to last a lifetime.

After seminary graduation, I wanted desperately to pastor a black congregation. We spied out one in East St. Louis, sure that God would place us there. But church officialdom thought otherwise; so we ended up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

“Not many black people there,” my seminary friends quipped. That was for sure. At that time the city’s population was 365,000; however, blacks did not number in large figures.

Time moved along from pastorate to pastorate. And with that, we grew older. However, when pastoring in Fishkill, New York, we saw on television announcements urging adoptions of black children.

“If we don’t do it now, we’ll be too old,” I said to my wife.

And so we contacted the agency that put us in touch with the two-and-a-half months tiny black baby boy. Actually, he was multiracial in that his mother was white and his father was black. That was all that we knew about his parents.

As we drove up to Poughkeepsie, our hearts were beating out of our chests. We had waited nine months for this. And now it came to pass.

On Route 9, we stopped by a baby-clothing store. And there we bought the blue blanket.

We had told no one in the congregation about our adoption plans. Therefore, when we drove up to our parsonage on that Tuesday morning, a group of women was conducting a Bible study in our living room.

We opened up the front door, walked in, and showed them a blue blanket wrapped around a black baby boy, Jay. I took my first initial and turned it into the word “Jay.”

These white ladies were absolutely thrilled. They too were beside themselves with anticipation.

For the months ahead, my life revolved around Jay. I would help change his diapers. I would help feed him. I would help dress him. And when it was naptime, I placed him ever so carefully on my tummy where he slipped into his own sound sleep.

I could feel his breathing against my heart. He was ours. My soul was full.

I said to myself: He will grow up to do wonderful things for God and his people. After all, both my wife and I had cared for civil rights causes all our adult lives; and now we would have a son who would carry on the same. But it would mean much more since he himself was “one of them.”

I envisioned him to be a tall handsome fellow in his teens who would live out the exemplary life, perhaps even be a student leader in school. He would stand out for black people as one who achieved, worked hard, and was a noble citizen.

But there was a twist in matters in his mid-teens.

He came to prefer gangs instead of family, even joining one of the most notorious—the bloods and crips. Nights were consumed with chasing police cars or vice versa. Drugs. Mayhem. Threatening telephone calls in the middle of the night.

Weeks would go by when we had no idea where he had fled from home. Then all of a sudden, he’d walk into the house as if he had been gone just a few minutes. This went on for years.

Eventually, my wife and I sat in the courtroom to hear the judge sentence him to five years in prison. He did his time.

Then upon release, he broke his probation. That meant nearly two more years in prison.

Yet love never gave up. We drove thousands of miles to three separate prisons in far-flung states. We booked motel rooms and bed-and-breakfasts in order to spend a couple of days seated in the sterile visitors’ rooms. Food machines and beverage machines were our treats as we attempted to make conversation with a son who had changed into a stranger.

However, I always pictured that little black baby in the blue blanket. And I remembered the innocence, that package of joy, envisioning him to grow up before our eyes to follow in our Christian commitment. Yet all that seemed so very far distant—now impossible, actually.

We moved from parsonage to parsonage, assignment to assignment. Somewhere along the way, the blue blanket got waylaid. I wish I could find it today; but I can’t.

However, in my prayers I would lift to God the blue blanket. Then I would offer the Lord a simple petition: “Please, Jesus, bring back to us our son. Bring him back to us for we love him.”

So it is that this evening as I reminisce I thank heaven for miracles. They truly do exist in a lifetime of anguish and hope.

Today Jay is in evangelistic witness for Jesus, surrendered to the same Savior his adoptive parents introduced him to as a child.

He is married with two delightful children. The family is totally Christian. They breathe God. They live God. They reflect God’s redeeming presence.

At times when I lay my head on the pillow at the close of another day, I don’t spare the tears of gratitude.

We have our son back. We lost the blue blanket somewhere along the way; but loving over and over again found for us our son. We’ve come full circle.

Yes, we have our son back.

CHRISTMAS TREES NIXED AT CLIMATE GIG

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

The lowliest manger scene anywhere in the whole wide world has more witness power to truth than a trillion bogus climate change summits throughout the universe.

The Christmas trees have been banned so that those not Christian won’t be wounded by the Christian symbol. Now that’s the acclaimed summit hype for you, human being made in the image of God.

Also, that’s the might of a Christmas tree. Imagine several hundred of them all lit up to awaken the senses of happy walkers this glorious holy season.

Christmas trees are the target every year. They are those innocent growths that God plants throughout His creation. But when they are placed as a sight to behold at Christmastide, all of a sudden they are as daggers to the crusted, unbelieving heart.

It’s December. Welcome to our nuthouse world..

What about anybody at the conference, or hundreds of feet from the summit entrances, wearing a cross around a neck or on a bracelet?

What about the Muslim wrap-around-all?

What about a Hindu head covering?

I was driving through our Maine countryside the other evening, taking my time wandering back roads. Here and there I came upon lights. Some were atop hills. Others were cuddled in amongst valley dips.

Then I came upon Hiram—a tiny village along the Saco River. In the center of that cluster of dwellings was this huge Christmas tree. Any other time of year it would be simply a large tree securely growing in the middle of a park.

But in December the lights make it a Christmas tree. It’s there every December. No one complains. Instead, villagers revere it.

Then I noted from house to house the manger scenes—Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. The drive was a little over an hour long, so I had plenty of nativity scenes to take in. Some were large, elaborate arrangements. Others were simple outlines in lights.

My heart rejoiced every time I came upon a Christmas tree and the nativity witness.

As I read about the brain dead banning the beauty of Christmas trees many miles from where I live—thank God—I thought it time again to get in the car for another countryside drive.

OF COURSE PALIN SAYS AMERICA SHOULD RETURN TO GOD

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

What would one think of a born again, Spirit-filled believer who makes no apologies for her biblical faith?

That’s what yanks liberals totally out of their wormwood trees.

They don’t understand, first of all, what “born again Spirit-filled” means. They have such an individual rolling in the aisles and frothing at the mouth. That’s how ignorant the unbelieving are.

Of course, too many in America are of that caliber when it comes to biblical faith. Because they simply don’t get the Word of God, they are in frenzy when the word “Palin” is even whispered.

Martha Stewart is the latest mean example. She, a sophisticated, learned liberal—that is, learned in the secularist tradition—was asked what she thought of Sarah Palin. She replied, among other negative derides, that Palin was “boring.”  When asked the question, one would have thought Stewart’s face had taken on the prune shape.

Stewart said she would not go to hear Palin even if she were paid. In other words, Stewart would not bother walking across the street to hear the former Alaskan governor.

That’s about it for liberals’ understanding of Palin. They loathe her, demeaning her at every slap.

Naturally, Palin knows that this is part of every biblical believer’s turf, not just hers. She and her husband have braced for that reaction ever since committing their lives to Christ.

Does not every Christ disciple know it is basic scriptural knowledge that Christ warned His followers they would be hated just as He was hated? Consequently, when Palin puts herself “out there,” she knows hatred is at the top of reactions.

Yet it is so sad that any American should have to tell reporters that the nation needs to return to God. That should not be news. That should be our cultural milieu. It should be our fundamental reason for being as a country. It should be an accepted given.

All those who shout otherwise put aside, the country was founded upon biblical believers who worshiped Christ, studied the Bible and lived it, taught it in the classrooms and preached it from village pulpits.

Those who rewrite American history scratch all that for secularizing the Republic like unto Europe’s unbelief. But the facts are there, no matter the propagandizing of unbelievers.

America has strayed far from the biblical ethic. When grassroots redefines “marriage” according to the devil’s lexicon, America has gone frighteningly distant from the God who originally smiled upon our origins.

When mainline denominations play heathen rather than preaching clearly the Scripture—even to crowning a lesbian Episcopal bishop—the country has bowed too frequently to hell’s doctrine.

One, sadly, can add to that a long list of various sins that have become “America accepted.”

That puts us under the wrath of the Almighty once we trespass across his patience line. If and when that trespass happens, the Almighty will come with his judgment of condemnation upon our country from coast to coast.

Palin knows that.

She knows her Bible. She knows the prophetic passages regarding the End Times. She has been schooled in biblical detail. It is as close to her as breathing for she has steeped herself in the Word.

All the more one can sense that she is rightfully anxious for our nation’s future. She wants this Republic to return to God’s blessing, detouring His curse. She wants a genuine revival upon the land.

That is why she can take ridicule. She knows that by unbelievers slicing and dicing her she is doing the Lord’s work. She is called to this mission. She will commit the onslaughts against her to His keeping rather than permitting them to fester.

Of course Pailn is correct when saying that our nation needs to return to God. But why should this even makes the news?

It does because there are so many who don’t even get it. They just don’t get how pagan America has become.

CHRISTMAS IS GOD BIRTHING

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Christmas is celebrating the conceiving and birthing of Jesus, the Christ.

Mary was His mother, the human channel.  The Holy Spirit was His Father, the divine channel.

Consequently, Jesus is the God-man, the only personage of His kind in all history.

Christmas' new life is the zenith of God's delight in birthing  miraculously, such being both  prelude and postlude to the virgin conception of Jesus Christ.

For instance, at the creation of the first human, Adam, God birthed this man from the earth.  Granted, it was a secondary creation to underline the human's need for humility; nevertheless, it was a miraculous birthing--from dust to man.  Only God could have done it.

From the womb of divine grace was born the original human being, the height of creation's journey.

Further in history, Abraham and Sarah were promised a son, the child of promise.  God gospeled them this; therefore, it was mandated to come to pass.

However, as the couple grew older, they passed childbearing ages.  Nevertheless, while Abraham was l00 and Sarah was 90, they experienced a miracle conception in an elderly woman's womb.  Birthing God miraculously sparked Isaac's life in a womb supposedly not able to carry a child.  There is no other explanation possible than that: it was sheer miracle.

Adam and Abraham foreshadow Zechariah.  This Jewish priest was informed by God's angel, Gabriel, that his elderly wife, Elizabeth, would become pregnant.  For this to occur, a miracle would have to take place in her aged body.  It did take place.  Birthing God once again saw to it.

From Elizabeth's womb came John the Baptist, kinsman to Jesus.  The conception  / birthing was possible only because God oversaw it.

At the same time Elizabeth was overjoyed with her pregnancy, Mary was overawed by Gabriel's annunciation of the Messiah's conception in her womb.  However, Mary was not confronting the barrenness of old age; she was dealing with never having had sex for she was a teen-aged virgin.

The GOSPELS inform us that Mary's conception occurred miraculously by way of the Holy Spirit--the birthing God.

Both Abraham and Sarah as well as Zechariah and Elizabeth realized God's miraculous energy set loose in conceiving power within wombs that were beyond childbearing.

However, Joseph and Mary realized God's miraculous energy set loose in conceiving power within a virgin's womb.  Both the elderly and the young came upon God's conceiving and birthing graces--miraculously so.

No wonder then that this Messiah, when seeing through His public ministry for three years, informed already born Nicodemus that he had to be "born".

How? Nicodemus, Jewish religious leader, asked of the Nazareth rabbi.

Jesus answered by telling him that the birthing was to be in his soul, not his body.  Further, it was to be miraculously conceived by none other than the same Holy Spirit who had conceived Jesus in Mary's young womb.

From that day till this, believers have thanked God for the "born again experience"--a personal spiritual reality possible only because of God's gracious miracle energy.

All Christians then come into a child-to-Father relationship with God by being born in the soul--a personal Christmas, indeed.  The Holy Spirit conceives in us His mercy by which we are adopted out of the family of satan into the family of God.  There is no other explanation for this conversion happening than to state it as compassionate miracle.

Further, the wonder continues:  each believer at some point in time dies.  However, according to the gospel, he does not die, that is, he is not extinguished.  Instead, the Holy Spirit conceives his soul into the birthing of heaven.

Just as an angel welcomed the conception of Jesus in Mary's womb--and later angelic hosts welcomed Jesus' birth--so the believer is welcomed into heaven's birthing by eternity's angels.

Just as shepherds welcomed the newborn Jesus in the manger, so those redeemed lambs who precede us to glory welcome believers birthed through heaven's gates.

It is an on-going message of wonder, grace and miracle: God is intent on conceiving and birthing life--from Adam till the end of earthly time.

Even eternal life is never-ending birthing goodness, holiness and love--that beyond human understanding and explanation.  God sees to it.

Christmas, for this earth's stay, is then the apex of that marvelous story.

". . .glory to God in the highest. . ."

Such a blessing is Christmas!
