At the close of the Church Age, Israel will be threatened by forces from the northern parts because God wills it.


Those forces will be overcome because God wills it, such closing out the about-seven years tribulation.


Note Ezekiel 39:7: God speaks: “’My holy name I will make known among my people Israel; and I will not let my holy name be profaned any more; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.’”


Note this primary divine purpose of End Times’ events: “’. . .the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One. . .’”


Presently, the nations have forgotten Creator God, worshiping their own idols. Such blasphemy will increase till the Second Coming.


At the Church Age’s climax, defeated Armageddon dead will be consumed by vultures picking their bones..


Note Ezekiel 17-22: God speaks: “’As for you, mortal, thus says the Lord God: Speak to the birds of every kind and to all the wild animals: Assemble and come, gather from all around to the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood.


“’You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth—of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.


“’You shall eat fat until you are filled, and drink blood until you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you.


“’And you shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with warriors and all kinds of soldiers,’ says the Lord God.


“’I will display my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid on them.


“’The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.’”


Whatever God does in that time frame is because He vindicates His holy name that has been besmirched for centuries by the Hebraic lineage. God does what He does, not for any benefit to Jews, but to set His name aright before the entire world, starting with the Jews.


God repeats His purpose over and over throughout Ezekiel 36-39.


For the first seven months of the millennium, Israelis, specifically assigned to the job, will bury the Armageddon dead so that the land will not be profaned any longer. Every enemy bone will be buried so that the land finally will be declared holy.


That is the sum of Israel’s future as related to the End Times’ close of the Church Age.


At present, Israel is fighting for its security. Muslims threaten to wipe it off the map.


Muslims will not get their way because biblical prophecy will be fulfilled in its own detail, not according to Islam’s Allah, the latter being Satan.


Biblical prophecy states in Ezekiel 36-39 that God brings Jews from every nation back to their own land—Israel. That took place on May 14, 1948.


Ezekiel states that God proclaims that He returns Jews to Israel, not because they deserve it, but to vindicate His holy name and declare humanity’s existence purposed to be holy.


In summary, Ezekiel states the conclusion to Israel’s present-day time frame to be that militia from north of Israel will swoop down upon that land. The enemy will inflict immense damage.


However, the enemy will not be victorious. It will be struck down. Israel will remain.


By the way, Ezekiel’s description of vultures picking clean the defeated corpses is in line with the marriage supper of the Lamb set forth in the Book of Revelation. The marriage supper menu will be the bodies of the defeated dead at Armageddon.


In Revelation 19:17-18 Christ, having returned to win Armageddon, calls for birds of the air to eat the flesh of dead bodies in the Valley of Megiddo.


Revelation 19:17-19 reads: ”Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly in midheaven, ‘Come, gather for the great supper of God, to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of the mighty, the flesh of horses and their riders—flesh of all, both free and slave, both small and great.’”


Therefore, with that detail, one can read back into Ezekiel the Armageddon Battle climaxed by the Second Coming of Christ.
