Rabbi Ellen Weinberg Dreyfus is president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the latter representing 2000 liberal Reform rabbis. Prior she was spiritual leader of a small congregation in a Chicago suburb, per AP.


Obviously these Old Testament passages regarding active homosexuality don’t find divine inspiration definition in the above, at least for the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association:


Leviticus 18:22: "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."


Leviticus 20:13: "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them."
